Academic Focus

The Department of Hadith and Sunnah develops advanced study of Hadith sciences, Prophetic teachings, Sunnah methodology, classical Hadith collections, commentarial traditions, narrator criticism, authentication, and the role of Hadith in Islamic law, ethics, education, and spirituality.

Its academic focus includes Ulum al-Hadith, Mustalah al-Hadith, Takhrij, study of major Hadith books, principles for understanding Prophetic texts, reconciliation of narrations, Hadith commentary, Arabic for Hadith reading, and research methods for using Hadith responsibly in academic writing.

The department supports certificate courses, diploma programs, reading circles, seminars, research clinics, and publication mentoring so that learners can engage Prophetic guidance with accuracy, reverence, textual discipline, and scholarly balance.

Contemporary Sunnah Guidance

Contemporary guidance focuses on how the Sunnah informs character, worship, family life, education, leadership, public ethics, social responsibility, mercy, justice, and community reform.

The department encourages research that connects classical Hadith scholarship with modern questions without weakening method. Students are trained to consider authenticity, language, context, juristic use, ethical meaning, and responsible application.
