Role Overview

The Digital Platform and Technology Assistant will support AQIRI’s websites, journal platforms, digital records, online publication systems, metadata records, and routine technical work. The selected applicant will work under departmental supervision and assist in maintaining the institute’s digital presence, publication platforms, and technical records.

Main Responsibilities

  • Update website, publication, journal, and institutional pages.
  • Support OJS entries, article pages, issue records, author information, and publication updates.
  • Organize digital files, publication records, article data, and online archives.
  • Support metadata, titles, abstracts, keywords, author details, DOI records, and indexing information.
  • Identify broken links, missing files, display issues, incorrect records, and basic website errors.
  • Assist technical documentation, data entry, uploads, and digital record maintenance.
  • Coordinate publication uploads and corrections across departments.
  • Maintain confidentiality of unpublished material, credentials, and internal records.

Suitable Background

Information Technology, Computer Science, Web Development, WordPress, OJS, Digital Publishing, Data or Metadata Management, Library and Information Science, or Academic Publishing Support.

Preferred Skills

Basic website or CMS knowledge, WordPress or OJS awareness, careful file handling, spreadsheet skills, attention to detail, responsible communication, and timely task completion.

Role Overview

The Social Media and Digital Communications Assistant will support public communication, social media content, publication announcements, academic outreach, event communication, and digital visibility.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare captions, announcements, newsletters, public notices, and social content.
  • Plan and schedule posts for official platforms.
  • Prepare announcements for books, journals, articles, issues, and research updates.
  • Promote calls for papers, events, seminars, workshops, lectures, and training.
  • Coordinate posters, banners, graphics, thumbnails, and promotional material.
  • Maintain drafts, campaign files, communication records, and planning documents.
  • Support audience engagement and communication follow-up where assigned.
  • Follow the institute’s academic tone and approval process.

Suitable Background

Mass Communication, Media Studies, English, Marketing, Public Relations, Digital Media, Content Writing, Social Media Management, Graphic Design Coordination, Islamic Studies, Humanities, or Social Sciences.

Preferred Skills

Clear formal writing, social-platform awareness, short-form content, Canva or design coordination, interest in books and research, careful handling of public information, and timely communication.
