Department Overview
The Production and Publishing Operations Department is responsible for transforming approved manuscripts into professionally prepared publications for print and digital release. It manages the complete production process after editorial approval, ensuring that books, journals, monographs, edited volumes, reports, and research publications are prepared according to academic, technical, and institutional standards.
The department handles copyediting, proofreading, formatting, typesetting, layout preparation, cover coordination, reference checking, file preparation, publication scheduling, and final quality review. It works closely with the Editorial and Acquisitions Department, Digital Platform Technology Department, authors, editors, designers, and technical teams to ensure that every publication is accurate, consistent, readable, and ready for release.
Core Responsibilities
Prepares production schedules and organizes each project from accepted manuscript to final publication.
Supports language correction, consistency checking, grammar, spelling, academic style, and final proofreading.
Prepares layout, citation style, typography, headings, tables, figures, footnotes, references, and templates.
Produces final files for print, digital release, journal platforms, websites, archives, and distribution.
Checks citations, footnotes, bibliographic style, transliteration, author details, article information, and metadata.
Conducts final checks to ensure files are complete, properly formatted, technically clean, and release-ready.
